Butter Frosting
Enough to frost two 8 inch cakes.
You will need:
4 ½ cups of sifted powdered sugar
1/3 cup of butter
¼ cup of milk
1 ½ teaspoons of vanilla
In a bowl of an electric mixer beat butter until light and fluffy. Add 2 cups
of the powdered sugar, gradually. Beat in ¼ cup of milk and the vanilla
slowly.
Add the remaining powdered sugar gradually. Beating until well
combined. If necessary add more milk to make the frosting easier to
spread.
You may add food coloring of your choice (optional). Frosting may be
stored in the refrigerator for up to 1 week.
