Makes 4 servings
You will need:
1 pint of vanilla ice cream
1 cup of milk
1 pint of chocolate ice cream
1 cup of milk
6 tablespoons of malted-milk powder
Malted milk balls for garnish (optional)
1. In a blender place 3 tablespoons of the malted-milk powder and a ½
cup of milk and blend until the malt is dissolved. Add ½ of the vanilla ice
cream and blend until smooth. Add the remaining of the vanilla ice
cream, while the blender is still running, one scoop at a time. Pour ½ of
the shake into a measuring cup and place in the freezer. Pour the
remaining shake into 2 glasses and freeze for 10 minutes.
2. In a clean blender pour the other ½ of the milk and 3 tablespoons of
the malt powder and blend until malt is dissolved. Add ½ the chocolate
ice cream and blend until smooth. With the blender still running add the
remaining chocolate ice cream, one scoop at a time. Continue to blend
until shake is fully combined. Pour shake into the 2 empty glasses and
freeze for 10 minutes, after removing the ½ filled glasses that are in the
freezer. Top off the 2 half filled glasses with the remaining chocolate
shake. Stir the reserved vanilla shake before topping off the glasses
that are now in the freezer. Top off with malted-milk balls and serve
immediately.
